WELCOME TO MARY’S BLOG

14th March 2020

I have not posted to this blog in at least two years – too busy and fulfilled with ministry on the ground and face-to-face contact with parishioners. Now that the health restrictions around the Covid 19 virus have changed all that, I thought I would continue to make Scripture reflections and Bible Study thoughts available to anyone who might want to access them. (Just to be clear – I am not a Scripture Scholar. I have studied some Theology and some Scripture courses. My day to day experience as a Pastoral worker with parishioners has lead to the development of various Scripture discussion groups and Bible Study groups in various parishes. My contributions here are similar and are for anyone who has not had the opportunity to study Scripture or Theology). I have added a few new options at the top of the screen (and may add more) –

REFLECTIONS ON SUNDAY READINGS; BIBLE STUDY; PRAYERS; KNITTING; HOLY WEEK AND EASTER; DAY TO DAY thoughts; PICTURES and RESOURCES FOR CHILDREN.

I hope you find something here that catches your interest. Let us remind ourselves, especially at this time, that we are in God’s hands, let us sustain ourselves with prayer, and with love and caring for each other. Let us remember all those who are ill at the moment from the virus, those who have died and their loved ones who mourn them, those who are worried or fearful for themselves and their families, and those who are away from home at this time. Remembering everyone impacted at this time and all those working in our communities to nurse, help and support us. Trusting that we are held in the palm of His hand.
